An interview with Natz - 17/01/08

Thursday night. I'm joining Natz for another interview. It's been a while since the last time

"Ok, so here we are again for another interview. How have you been since the last one?" I begin,
"I've been okay," Natz replies. I decide to get straight to it

"Good to hear. So You abandoned the old TRE site and created TRE2? How has the transition from TRE to TRE2 been for everybody do you think?"
"Yes...all because of andrew."
She narrows her eyes slightly
"Nah, it was a good idea seeing as the last one had gone inactive and starting again got new people to join...well the ones I held at gun point anyway. But yeah it doesnt seem to have made much difference to people seeing as we barely started the old one."

"Yeah the original TRE never really got off the ground. Have you got any theories as to why that was and have you/are you going to try and compensate for those on the new site?"
"Well, I think that maybe we waited too long to start on the old one and so members lost interest and also not a lot of people joined. With the new one I'm gonna try and be more active and probably encourage people to post in the non-roleplay boards as well to keep it active. I also have to keep things moving in the roleplay so people dont lose interest. I also need more members."
She thinks for a minute, probably about how she can attract more members to the site

"Well it certainly sounds like you have a battle plan. So why did you say the old website shut down due to Andrew? What did he do?"
"Well seeing as my memory is crap I can't remember how it came about but basically I must have been talking about the site and that it was going inactive and he said we should start completely over with a new address and everything. I wasn't sure at first but eventually decided to go for it! He wrote up an action plan- I will see if i can find it."
She looks around for a few minutes, trying to find the elusive action plan. Unfortunately she doesn't manage to find it, but all in all I'm sure it's a great action plan.

"Well by the looks of things listening to Andrew might have been the best move you ever made regarding TRE, excluding the employment of a certain other Administrator. But let's move on. So you say you're memory is crap. Do you believe that hinders you in any way when running TRE?"
"Erm, I don't think so. Unless i post something I've already said but I'd probably see it."

"Oh good. So you have a number of staff members on your site - a grand total of 4 including yourself. What are your opinions on how they are working? Jemma has been quoted saying; "I've been kinda abusing my membership on there lately because of the site's "death"" what do you wish to say about that?"
"I have heard from Jemma that she has quit roleplaying but seeing as she's my sister i will try and force her to post because otherwise it will mess up other characters' storylines. I have been very disappointed with some of the posts she has made recently..."
she shakes her head disappointedly, and I can tell she is not pleased with her sister
"...but i think she will be taking it more seriously next time she posts. Andrew has been busy lately but last time i spoke to him he made a post i think. James always does a good job!"
She sticks her thumb up at me when she mentions me, so I smile back gratefully
"I think some of the staff members were the same from the old site. I don't think Jemma should be a staff member so i think a rearrangement is in order."

"So a re-arrangement could be in order eh? Care to give the readers and loyal members of TRE -"
As I mention TRE, a person standing outside from TRE cheers. Since I wasn't expecting such an interruption I completely lose my focus for a few seconds in the sheer peculiarity of this event.
"... right ... anyway, care to give them an inside scoop on what's going to happen to Jemma? I'm sure she'll be reading"
"Well at first i wondered whether the guy i payed to get rid of her was too much..."
She stopped to think once again, while I sat shocked at the decision to put a hit on her own sister.
"...then I decided I would just ask whether she still wanted to be a staff member and if she did tell her to be more serious about the site"
She grins, clearly proud of her decision

"Oh so no big scoops to be reported, just a stern talking-to. That's fair enough - everyone deserves a second chance. So- hang on, quy you payed to get rid of her? You already payed him? Shouldn't you call him off if you're going to talk to Jemma?"
"Well I should...hmmm"
"I suddenly realized she had no intention of calling the hit off, and I became even more shocked. I decided to try and just bypass it"

"Oh......k...anyway let's move on. I'm sure all the members of TRE -"
Once again, on mentioning TRE, a person from outside the room cheers loudly. This is the second time that had happened in the interview, and it was starting to get to me. So i turned and shouted at him;
"...alright, SHUT UP OUT THERE! Jeez, bloody crowd. They hear there hometown name and they go crazy."
I sigh a pissed-off sigh, and return to the topic in hand; the interview.
"Anyway so what stage is the RP at right now?"
However, before Natz can answer, a gigantic panda with 'LOL' written in red on its chest comes leaping into the room in such a way I was forced to believe it had smoked up a big-ass ball of weed and was totally high. Unsure of what to do, feeling worried yet slightly amused, we waited it out. In just a minute or two the panda leapt away again. We both just sat there thinking 'wtf?' Natz has to regain her focus before answering my twice-interrupted question.
"Urm the plane is in the air and i need to crash it"
Once again she thinks, but this time she's only pretending. She lets out a small laugh so I would assume she is going to enjoy crashing the plane ... what a strange girl. Meanwhile, I still can get my head around the fact a giant LOL-branded panda had just leapt through the room
"A panda!? Wow this place really is wierd."

"So the plane is mid-flight. The first big plot twist is that it's going to crash, eh? No smooth flight for the TRE peop-"
Yeahhhhh-p, you guessed it. On mentioning TRE again, another annoying person from outside (possibly the same one - I was so annoyed I didn't really notice) started shouting again. I had decided by this time that this was the last straw. I wasted no time in summoning security to deal with the 2 people outside. So one of the shouts must have been the same person as before. Once I was sure they were out of the way, I swiftly continued with the interview.

"Ok, so no smooth flight. Any more plot twists that you are willing to reveal at this moment in time?"
"Wellity, well,well, the actual plot of the show will be a big starting point but i want to branch our own ideas from that and turn it into something slightly different like we started doing on the old site. Which means I need a talk with the staff members."
She thinks briefly once again
"We haven't got too many active ones at the moment though..."
At this point she looks a little disappointed
"...so we also need members input and also look at what we decided on the old site. So nothing really to reveal but it's not gonna be 'normal'"
She fakes shock to add drama to the answer - I can't really say it didn't work; I'm more interested just since that answer
"Oh, sounds good."
I guess my new excitement was obvious. However, I quickly resume the interview

"So a wacky, off the wall approach is in store for the TRE..."
I stop talking for a minute and look around - expecting another shout. However none comes so I assume the big black guy named Cole which I hired as security did his job well.
"...members"

"Anyway how do you predict the future of the site to be? Successful or will it not reach its potential?"
"It could go either way i guess but i'm hoping that the current members who are dedicated will do their best to keep the site active and the lazy creator of the site needs to get off her lazy ass and do some advertising!"
She displays her ability to poke fun at herself as a drop of blue sweat stays in position on the side of her head - anime style. Suddenly it disappears again, and we continue, now approaching the end of the interview.

"Well I understand you have a busy schedule, but just one more question before you shoot off. I suppose if anyone not currently a member is reading this now, then right here right now would be your perfect opportunity to advertise. Any enticing adverts to put up/write up now?"
She has to think hard for a few moments about a suitable advertising campaign. Eventually she thinks one up
"errrrrrm "JOIN! Ya know you want to""
After we laugh a little about her new 'advertising campaign,' she gives out a link to one of the new icons she has been making.
