Since this is a Sayid-centric episode, it seems only fair the show start with him in some sort of silent, meditative state. Miles is still pressing Jack for information about Ben in the background as Sayid covers Naomi's body. Not to mention the looting he does of a silver bracelet. Engraved are the words "N, I'll always be with you. N.G."

Sayid demands a quick trip to the freighter in the helicopter, but has to free Charlotte and bring her back safely first.

Golf! It's Sayid's flashes this week, and it appears Hurley's course, but more commercialised and glamorous. Another man comes over and reveals they are in the Seashells, however (Germany). They wager 100 euros on a 'closest to the pin' challange - Sayid going with a 7-iron, and the man with a 5-iron. Sayid reveals he is one of the Oceanic 6, so when the stranger wins the challenge, he declines the 100 euros. However he gets more than he bargained for - a shot in the chest after Sayid pulls off Ben's trick of knowing who people are - just a name in this case. Sayid enters a posh cafe, and joins a woman at a table whom we do not know. She reveals herself as Elsa, and Sayid asks for an 'expresso'. That's gotta be something like an ESpresso, right? Elsa says she must be at her boss' side if he pages her, but he only does so once or twice a year - alright for some, eh? Sayid gets a dinner date with Elsa, and she leaves. Out in the snow he calls a man saying he has 'made contact'. He then throws the mobile away (secrecy reasons) and walks off.

Back on the island, Sayid says the freighter crew are still lying - they have a picture of Desmond & Penny after all. Juliet agrees to return to the beach, and Sayid says Jack cannot join him in his mission to rescue 'Sharlot' (lol, love his pronounciations). Ooh yeah, then here comes the best banter of the ep:

Miles: Hey, Jarrah! You think you're going after Charlotte without me?
Sayid: Of course not!
(pause)
Miles: Oh....well good.
(pause)
Sayid: Was there anything else?
Miles: ...yeah, gimme my gun back
Sayid: We leave in 10 minutes

Locke's group arrive at the cabin's location, but it's not there! So where's Jacob gone? The ash is still there, but the cabin isn't! Locke says they're going to continue to the barracks, with Charlotte as a hostage. Hurley disagrees, so temperatures rise between Hurley and Locke, ending with Locke's "Is that going to be a problem for you?"

Kate and Jack talk about being left out of rescue groups, and Jack suggests Kate join Sayid. He makes a good point in saying Sawyer wouldn't let Locke harm her, so she agrees to go. Jack tells Frank about Sayid being in Iraq and being a torturer. At this point I guessed him saying he was an interrogator....but same thing really.
More banter:

Sayid: There was a fundamental debate as to whether your people were here to rescue us, or kill us.
Miles: So which side did you land on
Sayid: I'll let you know when I decide.

Back in a flashback, Sayid and Elsa are going out for dinner, and she decides to leave her pager. However Sayid picks it up with the excuse of "I don't want you to get fired over me".

On the island once more - Dan is setting up a big experiment. He sets up a little station and calls Reggina using Frank's phone, however if Minkowski answers Dan is to hang up! ooooh, why is that? Dan gets through to Regina, and she fires a payload to Dan. She says the payload is getting close, from 40km away to 0km, however no-one can see the payload arriving.

Dan: I don't have it
Regina: That's wierd
Dan: That's far more than wierd

Kate, Sayid and Miles arrive at the barracks and hear banging. They find Hurley tied up in a closet in one of the houses, and I immediately smelled a rat. He says "they left me!" but I suspected.

*insert ominous Lost 404 ad here*

Hurley is chatting on about what happened before he was tied up, but is silenced by Miles cutting across him sternly, telling him to stop babbling.
Second best line of the ep:

Miles: How about you stop babbling, just tell us what happened to them. Where are they?
Hurley: (pause) ... who are you?

Then STRAIGHT away the best line of the ep:

Miles: Where the hell did they go, tubby?
Hurley: Oh awesome, the ship sent us another Sawyer.

Anyway, Hurley says they were going to Ben's house before leaving.

Back in Group A Jack questions Frank about the Red Sox actually winning the series, when suddenly the payload arrives. Dan grabs a clock out of the rocket, and groans. He compares the times:
The one he's had on the island reads: 02:45:04
But the one from off the island reads: 03:16:22
This means there is a time difference of: 31 minutes and 18 seconds
However, this has only been accumulated in the time Dan has been on the island, which cannot be long. So surely time is moving slower on the island? Unless the island is constant, but remains half an hour behind (just since the Swan's implosion?)
Juliet returns with Desmond, who is just pleased to see the helicopter (even though he's seen it before, haha)

Back at the barracks, Sayid says to split up and for each person to investigate one room in Ben's house. Hurley, in my opinion, still looks shifty. Kate barges into a bedroom, and looks in the closet - nothing. Sayid is investigating the bookcase when he spots a mark on the floor. Rotating bookcase!?!?
Yes! He enters a new, unseen room which contains many aliases for Ben - foreign passports and money, alongside a whole new wardrobe of clothes. Sawyer enters the room kate is in and shuts the door. She calls for Sayid but Locke aims a gun at him. I KNEW IT!!!!!!!!
Hurley apologises, and they take Sayid to the room where Kate was kept back in S3. Ben is in there as well, and the first thing Sayid does is go to the window and rattle the grate trying to get out - yes Sayid, THAT'S going to happen, isn't it -_-
Sawyer banters with Kate, and they talk about what would happen if they left the island - however Sawyer doesn't want to leave. He explains that all that will be waiting for Kate is a pair of handcuffs. He offers for Kate to stay, but before she replies we're back in the rec room. Locke brings Sayid some iced tea, and Sayid asks for Charlotte. He explains he never expected Locke to give her to him for nothing, so he will make an offer. He quickly dismisses Ben's 'man on the boat' theory after talking to him. He says "The day I trust him would be the day that I have sold my soul." (remember that btw)

Flash - Sayid in bed with Elsa, and this is where the flash starts to get interesting, because her boss pages!!! Elsa gets dressed when Sayid tells her she needs to leave the country. He reveals he is going to kill her boss, but she becomes sad about it and shoots him. Turning all serious now, she rings someone and arranges to meet them at a safe house. She has the following conversation (which is pretty interesting):

"You were supposed to page me at ten-thirty"
"No I didn't kill him"
"He's not going to give up the name now"
"Why should I keep him alive"
"No he had no idea"
"Alright alright"
"I'll bring him to you"
"Leave the hotel"
"I'll meet you at the safe house"

She walks back in the room as Sayid smashes the mirror, but he shoots her twice quickly in the chest, killing her.

Desmond starts questioning Frank about the picture of him and Penny which Naomi was questioning. Frank says Naomi was management so they didn't talk. Dan and Frank exchange a look and he says he doesn't know who they were working for, so Desmond tells him he's going on the helicopter when it leaves. Sayid returns with Charlotte, but without Kate or Miles. He tells Jack that Kate decided to stay behind, and tells Frank that he had to trade Miles for Charlotte. She declines the flight out, as does Dan.
Dan tells Frank that he MUST follow the EXACT bearing they came in on, no matter what - NO MATTER WHAT. This is interesting, would it be the same bearing Ben told Michael back at the end of season 2?

Sayid says that Naomi should be taken back so they go in the helicopter with her as well. The helicopter takes off, and it leaves the island - is this the last we see of Sayid and Desmond (and to a lesser extent, Frank) !? Surely not!

Final flash - Sayid walks into a place where lots of dogs are cages up. He enters a room marked 'Operation Room' (is this a vet's?) he takes his shirt off as his employer looks at the bullet wound. At this time, judging by the employer's voice, I really thought it was Sawyer!!!!!! Then he spoke once more and I realised! Benjamin Linus! Surely (due to the reference I told you to remember before) that Sayid has sold his soul!?

Ben: These people don't deserve our sympathies. Need I remind you what they did the last time you thought with your heart instead of your gun?
Sayid: You used that to recruit me into killing for you.
Ben: Do you want to protect your friends or not, Sayid? I have another name for you.
Sayid: But they know I'm after them now
Ben:.....(long dramatic pause)..............................good.

WHAT!? GOOD!?!? WHAT AN ANTI-CLIMAX!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?
However, there are a few more questions raised now! Are 'these people' the freighter crew's people? Did Sayid think with his heart involving taking Naomi and it lead him into trouble? Sayid was then obviously bribed/blackmailed into helping Ben - has he captured the Oceanic survivors who didn't leave the island? Is such blackmail what Sayid meant by selling his soul (without realising it at the time) Is that why there are only 6 who have left? So much more to discover. Find out in the next installment!

Time to discuss the episode now, people. Let your hearts pour our with theories/explanations/things you've spotted/anything!!! See ya next time!

You know, I really miss a lot when watching the show..lol.

At this time, judging by the employer's voice, I really thought it was Sawyer!!!!!!

I remember, earlier on you were like "Oh, it would be cool if he worked for Ben." Then at this scene you were like ITS SAWYER, NO WAIT, YEAH, NO ITS BEN!

lol

Ah yeah, during the whole thing you were trying to guess what happens, hehe. You usually guess right O.o
