"Listen," said I importantly, "It's important you know what you are doing!"
They were sitting in my tidy living room, with puffy armchairs and sleek, wooden tables and shelves. The window had a perfect view of the ocean, and my home was just a few metres from the beach - most certainly the definition of a "water-front" property.
Despite this, inside the property, tensions were mounting steadily.
"Do you really want this?" I asked tersely to a large man with glasses.
"Of course, Grace," he said stiffly, "you know where my interests lie."
"Good," Grace said abruptly, gazing out of the window. What they were planning was dangerous, and if they were caught, it would be fatal.
"We cannot discuss anymore today - we do not know who is watching. I daresay," she added menacingly, "you remember Jenkins."
The men in the room nodded solemly. Grace was the only woman there, but she commanded them with the authority of a strong leader.
"You shall leave the house in 30 minute intervals. You know what trails you have to join by now, I hope. Selwyn," She nodded at a large and muscular man, "you shall go first."
As Selwyn walked out cautiously, Grace could only smile. She was taking a risk, but if it paid off, the entire island would be at her bidding.

The doorbell rang.
Grace, making cottage pie in her small kitchen, went to answer it, and see who it was.
The site wasn't pleasant.
"Annie," Grace said, trying to sound cheerful, "what a nice surprise."
